About the event

We’re gathering for a free 5Rhythms® class — a gift to our community, and a chance to move together through the full Wave.

This time, our dance will unfold in a beautiful ballet studio on Granville Island. We’re grateful to be welcomed into this new space and to bring our movement practice into it.

Rather than filming our usual Monday night class, I’m creating a dedicated container for this. It’s an opportunity to dive deeply into the Wave as an offering — so that others can visually experience what this rich, transformative practice feels like.

A videographer will be present, moving quietly through the space to capture the atmosphere and essence of the dance.

By showing up, you’re simply doing what you already do: dancing your truth. In doing so, you’re helping others feel what’s possible.

Come as you are.

Dance as you are.

Together we’ll create the Wave — and let it ripple outward.

*Please RSVP only if you are sure that you will attend the class.

One Tribe

All welcome: No matter what race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, abilities and disabilities, shape and sizes, cultural background, and languages. Age: 12+

About 5Rhythms:

Created by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by tens of thousands worldwide, 5Rhythms® is a philosophy, perspective, performance art and a dynamic movement practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor, reaching across all languages, cultures and age groups to transform suffering into art, art into awareness, and awareness into action. Wherever the 5Rhythms are practiced, a community is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support, and to provide a safe space for each of us to shatter the ego’s hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking, rock star part of ourselves that yearns to be free. Creativity. Connection. Community.

What to bring:

  • comfortable clothes to move and dance in

  • water bottle

  • if you are unable to dance barefoot, please bring dedicated indoor shoes

I look forward to creating this magic with you.
