A 5Rhythms® Intensive
October 7 - 11 // 2027
VANCOUVER
God, Sex and the Body is a 5Rhythms® Intensive in which we reconnect with the innocent, playful, juicy, and creative parts of ourselves.
It is an artful celebration of all that we are, all that we are not, and all that we can be.
It stretches our limits and beliefs and offers us the freedom to express the unseen and unrevealed parts of ourselves.

Gabrielle Roth noticed that most of us live divided:
-
spirit from body
-
sacred from sexual
-
individual from community
-
masculine from feminine
These separations hurt. We feel them as numbness, as shame, as a life lived from the neck up. This map comes from a simple and radical idea: the body isn’t something in the way of awakening.
The body is the way.
What happens in the room
Dance, ritual theatre, costumes and props come together in a wild ride of the soul. It’s a place where:
-
the masculine meets the feminine and becomes human
-
the mundane meets the mystical and becomes magic
-
the sacred meets the sexual and becomes sensual
This map teaches us to be fluid and fluent. We learn to shapeshift, to move between roles we’ve played for years and roles we’ve never let ourselves try. It shows us what we’re attached to, and then asks us to loosen our grip.
The workshop includes an archetype ball: a night of costume, character and play where the less highlighted parts of us get to come out and dance.
It’s fun, deep, confronting, arty, sensual, playful, spiritual, and as down to earth as it gets. Yin and yang, male and female, human and divine, all in one room and all in one body.
Themes that may arise
Care · desire · shame · embodiment · direction · power · seduction · connection to spirit · clairvoyance · the inner critic · stereotypes and archetypes · ego and soul · destruction · intuition and vision
“This is personal development avant la lettre — deep, fun, confrontational and full of love.”
“Nourishing, revealing, vibrant, unexpected, confrontational, deep and playful.”

JUP JANSONIUS
Accredited Waves, Heartbeat, GSB 5Rhythms® Teacher
Jup brings together a background in dance, art, and theatre with social science and a strong sense of humor. She shapeshifts easily and is unapologetically herself, and that makes room for you to explore the parts of yourself that rarely get the spotlight.
